UnterWasser is an Italian company specializing in visually immersive theater that blends shadow puppetry with original soundscapes. Known for exploring themes of hidden emotions and unspoken truths, their work invites audiences into a mysterious, dreamlike world. At this year’s festival, Untold uses shadow and light to reveal stories that exist in the space between illusion and reality.
The Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, which opened in 2012, is a multidisciplinary arts facility located on the University of Chicago campus. Designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, the center was built as a space for artistic collaboration, offering state-of-the-art resources for theater, visual arts, music, and dance. Since its founding, the Logan Center has become a pillar of Hyde Park’s cultural life, hosting an immersive array of performances, exhibitions, and community events.

The Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival advances the art of puppetry by presenting sophisticated programs vital to the cultural life of Chicago. Engaging and inspiring the largest and most diverse audiences for puppetry possible, the Festival is the biggest event dedicated to puppetry in North America and traditionally offers more than 100 activities annually including performances, workshops, artist instensives, free neighborhood events and symposia to audiences up to 14,000 over 11 days each January. The organization is also home to other key initiatives, including the Chicago Puppet Studio and Chicago Puppet Lab, that nurture the development of puppeteers and deepen the field locally, nationally and internationally with the ultimate goal of promoting peace, equality, mutual understanding, and justice locally and globally.
